Walking Down Memory Lane

I stayed late last night.  Preparing for our upcoming Idris Associates Reunion Dinner.  While selecting the old photos for the display, I feel a sudden rush of emotion.  Oh, how I miss the good old days. Advertising is no longer the same.  Creativity dah tinggal nyawa ikan in today's advertising scenario.  Client does not appreciate creative headlines or concept anymore.  You just do what crappy stuff they want or you will lose the account. Even research is no longer appreciated.   

Whatever it is, I couldn't wait for tomorrow to reminisce the good old day with my friends @ IA which I haven't meet for such a long long time.  Gotta go and continue preparing for tomorrow.

A little poetry that I wrote after visiting Perlis. I hope the poetry could do justice in describing Perlis. Never thought I could find such beauty and tranquility in the little state.

Di sini masa terhenti

aku tak perlu lagi berlari

waktu yang aku buru

di sini ia bersatu

segala keresahan

jauh kutinggalkan

segala kekusutan

telah kuleraikan

di sini kutemu kedamaian

Tempat aku mencari diri

saujana terbentang erti kehidupan

di celah hamparan seribu senyuman

aku temu keikhlasan

aku rindu untuk kembali

menyaksi sekali lagi

kebesaran Illahi

ke sana di mana masa terhenti untukku...

First Step...

I have created this blog for about 10 months already and left it empty. How could I call myself a writer!  My first excuse is I am having a writer's block.  Secondly I have too much work to do, too little time to finish it.  I don't have assistant to help my work.  Bla..bla.. bla...excuses, excuses, excuses....The other day my BOSS told me off!  Stop creating excuses for yourself, Era!  You will never get to finish anything if you don't event start it.  Well it's easy for him to say, cause he have me to do all the work.  But come to think about it, he is quite right.  So here I am writing on my blog during office hour, ha ha.  

That's all for a start.  At least I have taken that first step..........
